Why I Write (and Why It Makes My Heart Soar)
Every time I sit down to write, something magical happens. My heart swells, a smile spreads across my face (the kind that makes my cheeks hurt!), and suddenly I’m transported into worlds where anything is possible. But here’s the best part – I get to take you with me! Together, we can escape the mundane, discover hidden magic in everyday corners, and fill our hearts with wonder and possibility.
Why Adults Need Magic (Perhaps Even More Than Children)
“But Jenny,” you might ask, “why focus on adult heroines?”
Oh, let me tell you! It’s not because we’re more sensible (trust me, my characters often aren’t!), or because we need more serious stories. As a mother of two wonderful chaos-creators myself, I adore young people’s vibrant energy. But here’s the truth: magic doesn’t come with an expiration date.
We adults still get butterflies in our stomachs when we think about adventure. We still dream of finding secret doorways, soaring through starlit skies (whether on dragon-back or broomstick), and discovering earth-shattering love. Sometimes we need these magical escapes even more than teenagers do, precisely because the world tries to tell us we’re “too old for fairy tales.” (Spoiler alert: we’re not!)
Why Our World is the Perfect Starting Point
